Business username

Change the login handle your whole team types on the sign-in page — the rules, the live availability check, and what happens to the old name.

The business username is what your team types on the login page. It identifies your workspace — every member uses the same one — and it forms your login link: /app/login?business=yourusername.

Change it#

Owner or Admin:

Open Settings → Business username.
Type the new username. The field checks availability as you type: Checking availability…, then a tick, or ✗ reason. Your existing name shows This is your current username.
Click Change username.
You see Login username changed to "newname" — tell your staff, the old one stops working immediately.

Rules#

3–30 characters.
Lowercase letters and numbers only, starting with a letter.
Not already used by another business, and not a reserved word.

What happens next#

Links and bookmarks using ?business=oldname no longer work.
Invoices, customers and all other data are unaffected.

Error messages#

Message	Cause
Username must be 3-30 characters, lowercase letters and numbers, starting with a letter	Fix the format.

This username is already taken	Choose another.
