Your workspace & data isolation

When you sign up, Kapda Stock creates a workspace for your business: a private, separate copy of every table the app uses — products, customers, invoices, ledgers, settings and team members. Another business on the platform has its own workspace, and the two never share rows.

What "isolated" means in practice#

• Separate storage, not a filter. Your records are not rows in a shared table tagged with your business name; they live in your own workspace. Every request you make is pinned to your workspace before any data is read.
• Your login only opens your workspace. A session is issued for one business. Presenting it to reach another business's data is refused, and an automated test checks exactly that.
• Workspace identifiers are never exposed. The app refers to your business by its username; internal identifiers never appear in the interface or in API responses.
• Your integrations are yours. WhatsApp, Razorpay and AI-calling credentials are stored encrypted inside your workspace and used only for your business. See Encryption & secrets.

The business username#

The username you choose at sign-up (for example shahtextiles) is how people reach your workspace: every member enters it on the login page, and your login link is /app/login?business= followed by it. An admin can change it later; see Business username.

One business per account#

A workspace belongs to one business. The owner's email and mobile number can each be registered to only one business. If you run two separate businesses (for example with two GSTINs), sign each one up separately with its own email and number.

What is shared across the platform#

Only information needed to run your subscription sits outside your workspace: your business name, contact details, plan, subscription and billing history, and support tickets you raise. Announcements from the Kapda Stock team are published centrally and shown in your notification bell.
