Revenue, cost, gross profit and margin for each product category in a period — which categories earn the most and which only look busy.

Tiles#

| Total revenue | Sales in the period |
| Categories sold | Number of categories with sales |
| Best margin | The highest margin %, with the category name |
Charts and table#
- Revenue share — a pie of revenue by category.
- Gross profit by category — a bar chart.
- Category breakdown — Category, Qty sold, Revenue, Cost, Gross profit, Margin.
How it is calculated#
- Revenue — GST-inclusive line totals of invoices in the period.
- Cost — quantity sold × each product's current average purchase cost.
- Gross profit = revenue − cost; Margin = gross profit ÷ revenue.
- Products without a category are grouped as Uncategorised.
Empty state: No sales in this period.
