When TallyPrime is the better choice
- Your CA runs your books in Tally and you want one system for accounting, ITC and returns.
- You are a wholesaler or manufacturer whose main job is accounting, not a retail counter.
- You need multi-branch consolidated accounts on Windows PCs with a Gold multi-user licence.
When Kapda Stock is the better choice
- You bill customers at a counter all day and need fast POS, thermal bills and a UPI QR.
- You sell fabric by the metre and track thaans, or garments by size and colour with broken-set alerts.
- Udhaar collection and WhatsApp are part of how the shop runs.
- Your staff bill from phones and tablets as well as the counter PC.
- You still want Tally in the picture — export Tally XML for your CA every month.

Moving from TallyPrime
Export your item list to Excel, map it to the bulk import template, enter customer opening balances so the udhaar ledger starts correct, and run both systems side by side for a few days. The 30-day switching plan covers it week by week, and your CA keeps getting a Tally XML export if that is what they file from.
