Sign up & choose a plan

The four-step sign-up wizard, what each field must contain, how payment works, and what happens if the payment does not go through.

Sign-up takes a few minutes at /signup. Your business workspace is created the moment you submit the form; the plan is activated as soon as your first payment succeeds.

Before you start#

Have the items from Prerequisites ready, particularly a mobile number and email that are not already used by another Kapda Stock business.

The wizard#

The form has four steps, shown as a progress bar at the top. You can click a completed step to go back to it.

  1. Choose plan

    Pick Growth or Professional, and use the toggle to choose monthly or yearly billing. Every feature is in every plan — only the limits differ. Enterprise is not offered here; contact sales for it. You can change plan or cycle later from Billing.

  2. Your business

    • Business name — 2–120 characters.
    • Business username — your login name, 3–30 lowercase letters/numbers starting with a letter. The form checks availability live. Leave it blank and one is generated from your business name (with a number appended if that name is taken). Choose carefully: this is what every team member types at login.
    • Owner name — 2–80 characters.
    • Phone — 10 digits starting 6–9; the +91 is added for you. The form checks that the number is not already registered.

  3. Billing details

    Legal name, billing address, city, state, 6-digit PIN code and an optional GSTIN. These appear on your subscription invoices and can be edited later from Billing.

  4. Your account

    • Email — the address you will sign in with.
    • Password — the form shows four checks that must all turn green: 12+ characters, one uppercase letter, one number, one special character.
    • Coupon code and Referral code (both optional). A coupon's discount is applied at checkout; the exact discounted amount is shown before you pay.
    • The security code (captcha) — type the characters shown. A new code is issued after every failed attempt.
    • Tick I accept the Terms of Service, then submit.

What happens when you submit#

  1. Your workspace is created and pre-loaded with the five roles, the textile HSN code table (5001–6310), three invoice templates (Modern, Classic, Minimal) and ten product categories (Sarees, Suits & Dress Material, Shawls & Stoles, Fabrics (Unstitched), Menswear, Womenswear, Kidswear, Bedding & Linen, Curtains & Upholstery, Accessories).
  2. Your owner account is created with the Owner role and you are signed in immediately.
  3. A welcome email ("Welcome to Kapda Stock, your business!") and, where the platform's WhatsApp channel is configured, a welcome WhatsApp message are sent with your login link: /app/login?business= followed by your username.
  4. The Razorpay checkout opens for the plan and cycle you chose, showing the net price, GST and the total payable.

Paying#

Pay by card, UPI or net banking inside the Razorpay window. When the payment is confirmed the page shows a success message and takes you to the dashboard a couple of seconds later. A receipt PDF is available from Billing.

If the payment is not completed#

If you close the window, the payment fails, or the session times out, your account still exists — only the plan is not active yet. The app takes you to Billing (/app/billing), where you can start a fresh payment at any time. Signing in later leads to the same place.

"This email already has an account"#

Submitting the form with an email that already owns a business shows a message instead of an error, with a link to sign in. This most often happens when someone signed up earlier but never completed payment.

Error messages you may see#
