Aging report
See who owes you money and for how long — outstanding balances split into 0–30, 31–60, 61–90 and 90+ day buckets, with PDF and Excel export.
The Aging report (/app/customers/aging) answers the question every shop owner asks at month-end: who owes me, and how old is it? Open it from Customers → Aging report, or from the dashboard's Outstanding credit tile.
The report needs the Manager role or above.
Reading the report#
Each row is a customer who owes money:
| Column | Shows |
|---|---|
| Customer | Name |
| Phone | Mobile number |
| 0-30 days | Unpaid credit from the last 30 days |
| 31-60 days | Unpaid credit 31–60 days old |
| 61-90 days | Unpaid credit 61–90 days old |
| 90+ days | Unpaid credit older than 90 days |
| Total due | The customer's outstanding balance |
A totals row sums each column. Older buckets are highlighted progressively so the risky money stands out.
Search with Search customer name or phone…; the totals row follows the filter, so it always sums what you see.
How amounts are aged#
Each credit entry on a customer's ledger is aged from the day it was created (IST day boundaries). Payments and returns settle the oldest credit first, so what remains in each bucket is the genuinely old money.
For example, a customer with ₹5,000 billed 75 days ago and ₹3,000 billed 10 days ago who then pays ₹4,000 shows ₹1,000 in 61-90 days and ₹3,000 in 0-30 days.
Export#
- PDF — a printable aging report.
- Excel — an
.xlsxworkbook for your CA or for follow-up lists.
What to do with it#
- Call or message customers with money in 61-90 and 90+ first.
- Record any promise to pay on the customer's Recovery tab so automatic reminders pause.
- Tighten or add credit limits for customers who repeatedly fall into the older buckets.
