E-way bill

Keep e-way bill records against invoices above ₹50,000 — distance-based validity, vehicle number, printable PDF and expiry alerts — and why the official e-way bill must still be generated on the government portal.

Under GST, moving goods worth more than ₹50,000 needs an e-way bill. The E-Way Bills section of GST & ComplianceRequired for goods movement above ₹50,000 · validity 1 day per 200 km · expiry alerts at 8 AM IST — keeps a record of e-way bills against your invoices.

Create a record#

  1. Open GST & Compliance → E-Way Bills.
  2. Choose the invoice in Select invoice (> ₹50,000)…. Only invoices above ₹50,000 are listed, shown as INV-… — ₹amount.
  3. Enter the Distance km (1–4000).
  4. Optionally enter the Vehicle no — for example JK01AB1234.
  5. Click Generate. You see E-Way Bill EWB… generated — valid till DD/MM/YYYY.

Each invoice can have one e-way bill record.

Validity#

Validity is one day for every 200 km or part of it:

Expiry alerts#

Every day at 8:00 AM IST the app emails the business about e-way bill records expiring within 24 hours — E-Way Bill expiry alert — N bill(s) expire within 24 hours — and marks records past their validity as EXPIRED.

Error messages#
